The service

Mustaghfir is a personal devotional utility for counting istighfar, setting optional reminders, and joining an optional community leaderboard. It is not religious, medical, legal, or professional advice and does not guarantee spiritual outcomes.

Accounts and acceptable use

• Provide accurate account information and keep access to your Apple or Google account secure.
• Do not automate, replay, synthesize, tamper with, or falsify leaderboard counts.
• Do not probe another member’s data, disrupt the service, evade security controls, or use Mustaghfir unlawfully.

Community leaderboard

Manual counts never rank. The initial community leaderboard uses aggregate results from on-device phrase recognition. It is not speaker, liveness, replay, or anti-spoof verified. Scores may be inaccurate or manipulated and may be delayed, corrected, reset, or removed. Rankings are recreational, have no monetary value, and are not a measure of faith or sincerity.

Halaqah conduct

Halaqah is a voluntary encouragement feature. Share invitations only with intended participants. Do not harass, pressure, impersonate, or repeatedly contact another member. Daily completion is based on recreational on-device recognition and is not independently verified.

Referral links and impact

An account can be attributed once to its first valid referrer. Self-referrals, referral loops, automated registrations, duplicate accounts, spam, misleading claims, pressure, and registration incentives are prohibited. Referral totals describe attributed account joins only; they do not measure worship, intention, divine acceptance, or religious reward. Reward is known and granted by Allah alone.

Availability and changes

The app and community service are provided as available. Features may change or become temporarily unavailable, including when no-cost service quotas are reached. Private on-device counting is designed to continue when community services are unavailable.

Privacy, suspension, and deletion

The Privacy Policy explains data handling. You may stop using the app and delete your account. Access may be limited or records removed when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risk, legal obligations, or service integrity.

Intellectual property and Qur’anic references

Mustaghfir’s original software, branding, and design are protected by applicable law. Qur’anic verses are identified by surah and ayah and are not claimed as proprietary content. Short English meanings are explanatory and are not presented as a replacement for an authoritative translation or scholarly interpretation.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Mustaghfir is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where these terms do not address an issue.
